TOUR PACKAGE: Western Turkey Tour
Having a narrow and perhaps stereotypical view, influenced by the media. I was blown away by what I experienced:Turkey is a beautiful country with modern, safe cities, dramatic scenery, spectacular mosques and palaces, amazing well-preserved ruins of Greek and Roman antiquity. A melting pot of Muslim, European, Greek, Roman cultures, fabulous food and warm friendly people... so many World heritage sites I would encourage others to visit Turkey.

Very enjoyable trip with nice group of 12. I most enjoyed Ephesis, Kas, Bodrum, Myra, Konya and Cappadocia - Dervishes. Our bus driver was wonderful. Our tour leader was very personable and kind with excellent local knowledge.

TOUR PACKAGE: Experiential Ecuador Tour
The Galapagos snorkeling at Kicker Rock was great. The Amazon nature outings were very good - we saw a lot of flora and fauna. The Amazon outing to the local village and the 'bread making' were good. Our local leader was outstanding - personable, attentive, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The local guide was very good in the Amazon. He was very keen and enthusiastic. We saw a great deal of fauna because of him. He worked hard for us to enjoy the experience. We were well fed throughout the tour. Our local leader got us to some very good restaurants. The Amazon lodge owner and company did a remarkable job of feeding us wholesome, tasty meals. Of all of our trips, Ecuador may turn out to be the most memorable. From the swims with the fishes and rays, and the walks among the tortoises on the Galapagos to the river-boating among the monkeys, butterflies and birds of the Amazon rainforest, this trip was a wonderful tour of the magnificent fauna and flora of Ecuador.

TOUR PACKAGE: Madagascar Tour
I had a wonderful experience with Adventures Abroad. It was my first time joining a trip like this and I'm happy to say I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Of course, the highlight of the trip was seeing all the exotic wildlife (lemurs in particular). I'm still amazed at how many species we saw. I was also impressed with how comprehensive the tour was. Madagascar is huge, and I didn't come home thinking "Well, I wish we would have seen that". I got my money's worth. It had a great balance with some trips to the little museum in Berenty, the center in Ranomafana, and Lemur Island. The guides were phenomenal. I have nothing but great things to say about all of them. They were friendly, informative, and a joy to be around. I was sad to say goodbye to our local guide. It was like saying goodbye to a friend for the last time (unless I go back).

Great trip, one of the most interesting places I've ever traveled to. I loved the days in Ranomofana and getting to see the operation that Patricia Wright started there. Also loved the hiking portions. The transportation used on this tour was clean and comfortable. I think we stayed in the best hotels and lodges that were available.

I really enjoyed the hikes, even the strenuous ones. The flora and fauna sightings were excellent. I still can’t figure out how the local guides spot some of the animals and insects like they do, but each hike was a new and exciting experience. We loved our tour leader. She was a wealth of information about the country, history, and people. I loved her excitement about the lemurs. And she could spot them like the locals too! Our local guide through the tour was absolutely the best! He was our guide, security guard, assistant, and friend all wrapped into one very kind, considerate, and professional leader. We really enjoyed his stories, anecdotes, and happy face every day.

TOUR PACKAGE: Tanzania & Madagascar Tour
Feel very privileged to have had these amazing opportunities to travel in these countries. The fauna and flora were incredible, but the best part about these countries is the wonderful people who live there! Too many highlights to choose from! Balloon excursion over Serengeti and wildlife on both sections of the trip were extraordinarily wonderful. Local guides were extremely good. All bus drivers during the entire trip were truly fantastic. They were not only expert drivers on very difficult roads, but were also amazingly knowledgeable, spotting and identifying wildlife, birds, animals, geographic features etc. We were so fortunate to have tour leaders with such depths of experience and such a passion for sharing their knowledge and ideas, plus they are both always extremely concerned with the welfare of everyone on the tour.

Trip was excellent. Enjoyed seeing all of the animals. Long drives but enjoyed seeing the scenery, the villages and the people and animals on the roads. We enjoyed the game drives in Tanzania and the walks to see the lemurs in Madagascar. The local guides were all knowledgeable and helpful. On Madagascar, the local guide went out of the way to be helpful. Hotels were excellent overall. I would recommend this trip.

TOUR PACKAGE: Tanzania & Madagascar Tour
The entire TZ2 was outstanding. Highlights that stand out include: the hot-air balloon safari over Serengeti (our pilot was terrific and the management of the champagne breakfast was beyond anything of this sort I have ever had before); the visit to the garden—and the spectacular lunch—at Gibb's Farm was excellent; all the wildlife viewing throughout both parts of TZ2 (E. Africa/Madagascar) was excellent—with outstanding local guides and, on the Tanzania safaris, especially good driver/spotters; the spice farm on Zanzibar was singularly interesting and made extremely enjoyable and informative by the two excellent young men who served as the hosts/guides; the visit to the ValBio Centre at Ranomafana was an unexpected, and most worthwhile, treat. Both tour leaders were excellent! The local guides (including the driver/guides in KE and TZ) were without exception outstanding; in my experience it is rare that they are all of so consistently excellent a standard). They were all extremely adept at game spotting, very knowledgeable (lots of proper Latin binomials, which given my personal bias is a big plus)and friendly, helpful, and vigilant when participants needed a hand up or down or around a rock. The transportation on the tour was all good. The safari vehicles were especially good, and internal flights were all excellent. The meals all met my expectations and some of them were exceptional. The hotels were excellent overall.

TOUR PACKAGE: Iceland Tour
The Blue Lagoon was a highlight as well as the glacier, iceberg and whale watching. I also enjoyed the off the road walks and the visit to the sod house. All local guides were very good and provided much info about the culture and history of Iceland. All evening meals were delicious and reflected the local cuisine. Iceland is an amazing country and our tour lived up to all of our expectations. We love small group tours and the chance to experience interesting activities.
